Praised for her “voice that needs to be heard” (Kristen Chenoweth), Holly Connor is a Soprano hailing from St. Louis. As a Webster University junior pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Webster University Opera Studios has presented her with roles: La Fée in Cendrillon, Spirit in Dido and Aeneas and Chorus in Suor Angelica, and scenes: Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Servilia La clemenza di Tito, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Chorus in The Mikado, Turandot, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Madama Butterfly, and Nabucco.
Holly has been seen as an invited Soprano Soloist in St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Dvořák’s Song to the Moon, in Clayton Symphonic Orchestra Rutter’s Requiem, and featured Soloist in Webster University Orchestra Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël and Nordqvist’s Jul, Jul, Strålande Jul.
Holly sings in the Bach Society of Saint Louis Chorus, Webster University Chamber Choir and Jazz Singers, studies Classical and Jazz Piano, and is a Student National Association of Teachers of Singers member. Holly was a First Place Winner in the Webster University Orchestra Aria Competition, Semi-Finalist in the National Association of Teachers of Singers Classical Competition, winner of an alumni scholarship from Opera Theater of Saint Louis’ Artists-in-Training program, and a Young Artist in the Crescendo program at Union Avenue Opera the past three years.
